Nancy Wood

Born in London, Nancy Wood initially pursued a successful career in industry but spent much of her spare time producing large floral watercolours. In 1996 she started painting full time, coinciding with a move towards abstract themes. At that time she signed an exclusive contract with Demontfort Fine Art, one of the UKs major art publishers, to sell her original artworks and limited edition prints in galleries throughout the UK. These works have been featured in the Grand Designs television series, Elle Decoration magazine and there are five paintings on board Cunard’s Queen Victoria.

Alongside her artwork, Nancy has designed bespoke tables and other furniture using hand polished stainless steel, thick glass and solid hardwoods.

More recently, Nancy has taken a bold new approach to her work, moving beyond the earlier commercially driven work sold by Demontfort to concentrate on a fresh new style, manipulating poured paint and ink. These works are available as a very limited series of original artworks, together with hand finished or short run limited edition prints.

Nancy divides her time between Southampton, UK, the south of France and St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
